Glen Rock School Board Member Walked Out Of Meeting, Want To Fill Spot?
Want to be on the Glen Rock Board of Education? A member resigned at a controversial meeting. You can apply for her spot.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — Being a member of a local school board is an unpaid but important job involving voting on personnel, programs, and compensation.
It's also sometimes a controversial job.
At the Sept. 23 meeting of the Glen Rock Board of Education, a longtime board member, Elizabeth Carr, resigned. At the meeting, board members approved a new basketball coach from out of town who resigned days later.

Now, six people are running to fill three spots on the board. But because Carr resigned so recently, her position may be filled by appointment.
Interested candidates must apply for the spot by Monday, Oct. 14.
