Glen Rock to Mark 9/11 with Ceremony

Glen Rock will hold a ceremony commemorating the 11 borough residents who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks Wednesday night in Veterans Park.

The borough opted not to hold a formal ceremony last year, encouraging residents instead to observe a more "personal commemorative experience."

Residents are invited again this year to participate in a service at the GRACE Memorial, a granite monument dedicated in 2003 to the victims of the tragedy that features a steel beam from the World Trade Center site.

According to the borough website, the service will feature prayer, music and a reading of the names of those lost.

The entire public is welcome to take part for the service, which begins at 6:30 p.m.
