Hackensack Man Charged WIth Sex Crimes Against Child: Prosecutor

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Hackensack man was arrested Monday for sex crimes against a minor in that town, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Jose F. Fajardo, 45, was charged Monday a with aggravated criminal sexual contact, criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Hackensack Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit last Friday regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past, prosecutors said.

An investigation determined that he "sexually assaulted and endangered a juvenile in Hackensack, NJ on multiple occasions," prosecutors said.

Fajardo was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
