Hackensack Meridian Health Reaches Agreement With Aetna
Hackensack Meridian Health gave an update on its negotiations to stay in-network with Aetna insurance.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — Hackensack Merdian Health, which owns hospitals around the state, announced late Tuesday that they will remain in-network with Aetna insurance.
A month ago, the health care company said if they were not able to agree upon rates by July 1, patients with Aetna insurance would have to start paying out-of-network rates in fall.
The large healthcare non-profit, which runs Hackensack Medical Center, Palisades Medical Center, Jersey Shore Medical Center, and many other facilities, urged consumers to contact the insurance company.

They sent a letter to customers in mid-May saying, "Like most providers across the country, we’re facing significant financial challenges that include the rising inflation, and rising staffing and supply costs to provide patient care..."
On Tuesday, June 18, they said they had reached a "mutli-year" contract with Aetna, which is owned by CVS Health.

Hackensack said customers with questions about their benefits should call the number on the back of their health care card.
