HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, NJ – Police are urging parents to carefully sift through remaining Halloween candy stashes after reports of sharp objects hidden inside packages of Twizzlers. Two incidents have been reported so far and police are asking anyone with information to call the department at 201-288-1000, <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtspd/status/1192863619937120257" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to a tweet.</a> <a href="https://patch.com/new-jersey/gloucestertownship/needle-found-halloween-candy-prompting-n-j-state-police-alert">Last week, New Jersey State Police issued an alert</a> after a needle was found in one trick-or-treater's bag and a small pin was discovered inside of an unsealed Kit Kat bar wrapper.
