Healthy, Fast-Casual Restaurant Opens In Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — "Nothing says official like a pair of giant scissors," the healthy, fast-casual Thorn + Roots said last week of the grand opening of its new Ridgewood location on Route 17.

In a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony, Ridgewood officials and the village Chamber of Commerce welcomed Thorn + Roots to the community and encouraged residents to support the restaurant.

"Enjoy the really delicious food, and please welcome Thorn + Roots to our Ridgewood family," village Mayor Susan Knudsen said, adding that her favorite menu item is avocado toast with burrata. She also said the freshly made juices are delicious.

"If you want something that is tasty and filling, this is the place to come," village Deputy Mayor Pamela Perron said.

Thorn + Roots also serves açaí bowls, grain bowls, salads and smoothies, and is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week at 381 Route 17 South.

"We are thrilled to be a part of such an amazing, welcoming place," the restaurant said on Facebook.
