Helping A Loved One Or Neighbor In Bergen County? Caregivers' Event Planned

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Are you helping a relative or neighbor with their medical or personal needs, aging, social isolation, or something else? Bergen County officials have planned an event to help you navigate senior programs, legal considerations, and more.

The Bergen County Caregivers' Conference will take place this Thursday from 5-9 p.m. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m.

Featured speakers and presentations include:

• Tess Tomasi, Information & Assistance Supervisor, Division of Senior Services: "Introduction to Programs and Services for Seniors in Bergen County"
• Anna Navatta, Esq., Northeast New Jersey Legal Services: "Legal Considerations"
• Kristine Allen, ACT Now Foundation: "Coping with Challenging Situations in Dementia Care"
• Shavonda Sumter, CEO, Children's Aid and Family Services: "Avoiding Social Isolation"

The conference will be held at the Bergen County Administration Building, One Bergen County Plaza, First Floor, in Hackensack.
