Here Are 5 New Restaurants That Opened In North Jersey In February

NORTH JERSEY — Want some "eater-tainment"? How about a robot waiter bringing you your cocktails, while a conveyor belt swings some sushi your way?
Several new restaurants opened in North Jersey in the last few weeks. If you want to take advantage of spring weather and do a bit of food tourism, here are options:
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

Kura opened at the Westfield Garden State Plaza mall in Paramus on Feb. 22. The "eater-tainment" destination that combines authentic Japanese cuisine with interactive dining. With more than 100 dishes served via a two-layered conveyor belt system, guests enjoy "a whimsical journey of flavors, enhanced by our drink delivery robots, Kur-B the KuraBot, and Bikkura Pon prizes." The Gyro Project

The Gyro Project opened on Feb. 19 at the Junction at Gateway in Newark. It offers up a Mediterranean "street food-style menu" with gyro platters, souvlaki, Greek-style lamb chops, and more. It's located at 11-43 Raymond Plaza West, Newark. Find out more here.
Julietta Gelato
Julietta Gelato Cafe opened a week ago Thursday in Hoboken, but it serves more than gelato. The shop at 423 Washington St. offers up various flavors of French macarons, as well as coffee drinks and pastries. It's on the main drag, Washington Street, among dozens of restaurants and stores. Customers can get gelato in a cup, cone, or milkshake. The shop took over the former spot of Hoboken Gourmet, which served mealsfor more than 20 years. Julietta Gelato also has shops in Manhattan. Giovanni's Restaurant Italiano
Giovanni LaCorte was, at 18, the youngest chef featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." He became a chef at Joe's Meat Market, then opened his own restaurant next door: Giovanni's. It features authentic Italian cuisine. It's located at 113 Clinton St., South Bound Brook. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse
The newest location of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar opened near the tip of Bergen County last Monday. The design of Fleming’s Montvale features an open-concept layout filled with natural light and a glass wine vault showcasing 2,500 bottles from around the world, they said. The menu offers dry-aged ribeye steak, filet mignon, and A5 Japanese Wagyu. Guests can also enjoy chef-driven selections like Gulf Black Grouper, and creative cocktails such as the On Cloud 9 martini. The restaurant will also offer lunches under $30 and a social hour from 3-6 p.m. with handcrafted cocktails and shareable bites. Fleming’s Montvale features three private dining rooms.
