Intruder In Dark Clothing, Mask Takes One Item From Glen Rock Resident's Porch: Police

A Glen Rock resident captured video of a suspect taking an item from their porch at 4 a.m. Police asked neighbors to check their own video.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — A Glen Rock resident told police last week that he saw a stranger do something unusual on his porch, and now police are suggesting that neighbors check their security systems as well.

The resident told police last Monday morning, someone approached the home at 4 a.m. and unscrewed a light bulb from the front porch.

The person was wearing dark clothing and a mask, police said. The homeowner saw it happen on the home's video surveillance system.

The person, believed to be male, did not appear to disturb or take anything else around the house, police said.

"Neighbors in the area were notified of the incident and were asked to check their video surveillance systems for any images of the suspect or similar occurrences," police said.

Overall, the Glen Rock police handled a total of 266 calls for service from Jan. 20-26, including that one, police said.
