'It's A Wrap': Popular Ice Cream Store In Ridgewood Shutters

Ice Cream By Mike, known for its creative flavors, has permanently closed after not making a profit, the owner announced.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — "It's time to call it a wrap," Ice Cream By Mike owner Mike Elias said in a Facebook post.

After seven years of business, three in Hackensack, four in Ridgewood, the popular ice cream shop known for its unique flavors shut its doors, explaining that it could not turn the operation profitable.

"I had the 'Field of Dreams' mentality of 'Build it and they shall come,'" Elias said on Facebook. "Not enough came. I am deeply saddened."
