'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream' Coming to B.F.
Musical kicks off May 2, May 3.

Forty-one Ridgewood middle school students will be bringing song and story to B.F. Middle School's auditorium for a two-day run of Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat."
Performances are scheduled for Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 Adults, and $5 for students, seniors, and children.
The story follows protagonist Joseph, who is given a lovely coat by his father. Joseph's 11 brothers are jealous, and take him to Egypt to enslave him. His talent for interpreting dreams garners the attention of the pharaoh. The musical is loosely based on the biblical story.

The music was written by Tim Rice, and includes a variety of musical styles, from Elvis to dance numbers.
"This is truly a collaborative experience - along with the actors, there are parent volunteers and BFMS teachers who have worked together to create this show," said musical director Barbara Donatacci. "We have so much talent at the middle school and this is a wonderful opportunity for them to share all that they have accomplished."

The musical is not one to be missed, Donatacci said.
"Why should someone see it? To be entertained and wowed by the talent of our student performers, of course. To support live musical theater and the arts in Ridgewood. We live in a wonderful community and it is my hope that the additional publicity will help fill the auditorium."
