La Strada Deli Moving From Midland Park to Ridgewood

One of Bergen County's more decorated Italian delicatessens is scheduled to set up shop in Ridgewood this fall.

Nestled in an expansive historic bank building at the top of the Godwin Avenue hill in Midland Park since 1992, in mid-October La Strada Gourmet Deli will be marching down to 23 Godwin Avenue in Ridgewood, across from Whole Foods.

"We're downsizing," owner Eugene Myer told Patch. "The groceries are no longer going to be a part of the operation. We'll still have all the prepared foods, full-service catering, homemade sauces, fresh pasta."

La Strada is well known in the area for its premium imported Italian meats (try the "Alfonso"), stromboli, chicken parmigana and the brick oven sandwich bread, among others.
