Man Convulsing In NJ Transit Station Draws Police Response In Bergen County: PD
Police responded to a NJ Transit station in Bergen County on a report of a man "in distress."
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police responded to the NJ Transit station in Glen Rock on Friday night after several residents called about a man "in distress," police said.
Glen Rock police found a 31-year-old man from Sloatsburg, N.Y., "who was showing signs of an adverse reaction to narcotics usage," police said.
He was convulsing uncontrollably, jumping up and down, and sweating profusely, police said.

Since he was in medical distress and unable to care for himself, he was taken by ambulance to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, police said.
Police in Glen Rock handled 293 calls for service between Aug. 25 and last Sunday, police said.
