GLEN ROCK, NJ — A 33-year-old Clifton man was hospitalized Saturday after a two-vehicle collision sent his car slamming into the front of the Glen Rock Food Center, borough police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
Both he and the other vehicle's driver, a 17-year-old girl who did not seek medical assistance, claimed they had the green light at the intersection of Harristown Road and Maple Avenue where the crash occurred, Ackermann said.
The man, who had non-life threatening injuries, was driving a Honda Accord when his car left the roadway and crashed into the convenience store. The building sustained only superficial damages, police said.
