Man Killed By NJ Transit Train In Bergen County Is Identified

HACKENSACK, NJ —A man who was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train late Thursday morning has been identified.

The man was Kevin C. Morales, 36, of Hackensack, the agency said Friday.

Just after 11:30 a.m., a Hoboken-bound Pascack Valley Line train fatally struck an adult male trespasser in Hackensack, a spokesperson had said. The accident took place near the Clinton Place crossing.

None of the 78 riders and crew on board were injured, the agency said.

NJ Transit police are leading the investigation, the agency said.
