Man Sexually Assaulted Pre-Teen In Bergen County Over 3 Years: Prosecutor

A man was charged with sexually assaulting a child who was under 13 over 3 years, said Bergen County Prosecutors.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Rutherford man has been charged after an investigation into the repeated sexual assault of a child, said Bergen County prosecutors.

Rolando F. Pincay-Sailema, 43, of Rutherford was taken to Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court.

Prosecutors said that on Jan. 23, the Rutherford Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child under 13.

An investigation determined that Pinca-Sailema assaulted the child "repeatedly in Rutherford, NJ over the past three years."

On Jan. 27, he was arrested on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

As a result of the continuing investigation, detectives subsequently determined that Pincay-Sailema committed two additional acts of aggravated sexual assault on a child under the age of 13 in Rutherford, prosecutors said.

Last Friday, he was additionally charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault.

He remains in custody at the Bergen County Jail pending additional court appearances in Bergen County Superior Court for the various charges filed in this case, prosecutors said.
