Man Swung Pickaxe At FBI Agents In SWAT Standoff: Bergen County Prosecutor
A man wanted in Pennsylvania emerged from a shed in Bergen County swinging a pickaxe at FBI agents and a SWAT Team, said prosecutors.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Pennsylvania man swung pickaxe at FBI agents as he was being pursued in Bergen County on criminal charges, according to prosecutors.
Tyre R. Dunn of York, Pa. was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, armed burglary, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, resisting arrest, and obstruction on Jan. 27, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
On that day, the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lodi Police Department in arresting Dunn, who was wanted in connection with a criminal investigation in Pennsylvania. Other news outlets reported that he was wanted for arson in relation to a house fire in Pottstown, Pa. in January.

He came out of the shed swinging the pickaxe at several law enforcement officers, ultimately striking an FBI agent in the bulletproof vest, prosecutors said.
The blade didn't penetrate the vest and Dunn was subdued. He was taken by the FBI to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville, Pa., prosecutors said.
