"It's wonderful," Aronsohn said of the recognition ceremony. "It's wonderful to be recognized by the community. The Temple Israel community really revolves around our Ridgewood community. It's really something special, it means a lot to me."

He'll be given an aliyah, a reading of a section in the Torah, and then a m'shaberakh, a special prayer, before addressing the congregation Saturday morning.

The kiddush, a meal following the Shabbat service, will be in Aronsohn's honor. The public is welcome to attend the free service, which begins at 9 a.m.
