Motorcyclist Injured In Crash Involving Garbage Truck In Ridgewood
A motorcyclist was injured in a crash Monday morning in Ridgewood as a garbage truck was waiting to back up onto a dead-end street.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A motorcyclist was injured in a crash Monday morning in Ridgewood, as a garbage truck that was stopped on North Monroe Street was waiting to back up onto dead-ended Woodfield Court, Police Chief Jacqueline Luthcke said.
The motorcyclist was driving on Monroe when the crash occurred at the intersection with Woodfield, and was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, Luthcke said.
Although there was space, the motorcyclist, out of concern about hitting the truck, appeared to have "purposely dropped his motorcycle," police said.
