New Ramen Restaurant To Open In Ridgewood
Menya Ramen House, a favorably reviewed Ramen restaurant, is opening its second location in Ridgewood, according to the owner.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ —A favorably reviewed and recognized Ramen restaurant in Metuchen is coming soon to Ridgewood, with a tentative opening date in February, owner Ryan Park said.
Menya Ramen House is opening its second store at 76 North Maple Avenue, formerly occupied by Ridgewood China King; this is, Park said, the "ideal location" for the restaurant based on a few factors.
"Ridgewood," he said, "is a booming community with a well-known downtown area and savvy customers."

He added that Ridgewood is also closer to his home, and the location enables him and his partner — who live in Bergen and Rockland Counties, respectively — to spend more time at the restaurant while being closer to their families.
Park and his partner, former corporate employees — or "corporate hacks," he joked —, pride themselves on the fact that they are successfully pursuing their dream.

Park juggles another job while working the restaurant, while his partner, he said, sacrificed his professional career to bring Menya to fruition.
