NJ Transit Train Strikes, Kills Pedestrian In Glen Rock
Train services was suspended after a trespasser on the tracks was struck and killed by a train in Glen Rock.
GLEN ROCK, NJ - Rail service on NJ Transit's Bergen County Line resumed Wednesday afternoon after a woman was struck by a train and killed in Glen Rock at the Harristown Road crossing.
Trains were cancelled after a trespasser on the tracks was hit by a Suffern-bound commuter train at around 10:30 a.m., according to a tweet from NJ Transit. As of 1 p.m., the line is experiencing 15 minute residual delays due to the earlier incident, the agency tweeted.
NJ Transit spokeswoman Nancy Snyder said there are no reported injuries to the 35 customers and crew members on board the train.

NJ Transit Police leading an investigation and the woman's identity has not been released at this time.
Update: Bergen County Line rail service has resumed in both directions and is subject to up to 45-minute delays due to a pedestrian fatality near Glen Rock.
