Police: Burglary Reported on Route 17
A burglar gained entry through the window of the Air Brook Building on Rt. 17, according to police.

A break-in and burglary at the Building on Rt. 17 South occurred on Feb. 17, police said.
According to the RPD, cash was taken and evidence suggested the perpetrator gained entry through a window. Detectives are investigating the incident; the amount of money taken was not disclosed. Air Brook Airport Express–which is behind the Park 'n Ride–is a taxi/bus service with routes to Newark Airport and Atlantic City.
Other incidents from the past week, as reported by the Ridgewood Police Department:
- Patrolman Patrick Elwood conducted a motor vehicle stop on Feb. 17 on Hope Street, where police say a man had drugs in his car. Police charged a 42-year-old Ridgewood man with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a future appearance in municipal court.
- A man on Albert Place had a scary moment on Feb. 18 when he reportedly went to his kitchen to find a man had swung open the rear door and was standing in the door way. The resident told police at 8:30 p.m. that the man ran quickly thereafter; police were unable to locate the individual.
- Patrolmen Kyle Finch and Kevin McKeon stopped a vehicle on East Glen Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Feb. 18, a vehicle police said contained juveniles, alcohol and marijuana. The two juveniles were taken into custody and released to their parents pending future juvenile court action, police said.
- security told police on Feb. 20 that an unknown suspect pulled a van into the loading dock area and stole equipment batteries. Ridgewood detectives are investigating the incident.
