Police Pursue Attempted Car Thief In BMW In Glen Rock: PD
Police pursued a masked man who tried to break into cars in Glen Rock and who left in a BMW, they said.
GLEN ROCK, NJ — A man attempting to steal vehicles in Glen Rock last week caused a police chase, said police in that town.
Just before 6 a.m. last Monday, police responded to the area of Garvey Place and Gaynor Place on a report from a Fair Lawn
resident that a man wearing a mask was trying to steal vehicles there, police said.
The man fled in a silver BMW SUV, police said.

Sgt. Trover located the vehicle, which was later determined to be stolen, on Gaynor Place, and a man in a mask was seen getting into the passenger seat, police said.
Trover tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled onto Glenfair Road at a high rate of speed, police said.

Police gave chase, then stopped for the safety of other motorists at Saddle River Road and Fair Lawn Avenue, police said.
Later, a Driscoll Place resident reported that someone had attempted to steal his BMW SUV around 5:30 a.m. that morning. Police believe it was the same suspects, they said.
The Detective Bureau is investigating.
