Police Revive Glen Rock Woman With Narcan: Cops

The woman was unresponsive and unconscious when police found her, authorities said.

GLEN ROCK, NJ — An unresponsive and unconscious 23-year-old borough woman was revived with Narcan Saturday night, police said.

Police and EMS personnel were dispatched to a borough home at about 5 p.m. on a report of an unresponsive woman, said Chief Dean Ackermann.

Lt. Chris McInerney and Sgt. Scott McGovern found the woman and found two empty heroin folds near her and gave her a dose of Narcan, Ackermann said.

Valley Hospital paramedics and EMTs from the Glen Rock Volunteer Ambulance Corps also rendered the woman aid at the scene, the chief said. The woman was taken to Valley Hospital.

A recovery specialist from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Heroin Addiction Recovery Team followed up with the woman at the hospital, Ackermann said.
