On Nov. 16, local author and Glen Rock resident Michael Goodman spoke with the sixth graders of Glen Rock Middle School on the research process and the importance of non-fiction writing. Goodman is the author of more than 80 books for children and young adults that range from histories of major league baseball, football, basketball, and hockey teams, to biographies of Wild West legends and sports heroes. He received degrees from both Yale and Brown universities and has been writing and editing books and educational materials for more than 30 years. The presentation was arranged by middle school Library Media Specialist Lauren Mitchell.
