Ridgewood DPW Begins Christmas Tree Pickup

Curb-side pickup of Christmas trees Wednesday, Jan. 7 and will continue to do so until Friday, Jan. 30.

The time has come to put the Christmas decorations away and dispose of your Christmas tree.

Ridgewood’s Department of Public Works will begin curb-side pickup of Christmas trees Wednesday, Jan. 7 and will continue to do so until Friday, Jan. 30.

The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, Jan. 7:

  • East side pickup
  • West side pickup

Thursday, Jan. 8

Friday, Jan. 9

  • East side pickup
  • West side pickup if equipment is available

Week of Jan. 12

  • Alternating East and West side pickup

Week of Jan. 19

  • Will pickup on Thursday and Friday based on sanitation schedule

Week of Jan. 26

  • Will pickup on Thursday and Friday based on sanitation schedule

Ornaments and lights should be removed before depositing to the curb and should not be in plastic bags.

Residents are also reminded not to put the tree out on the curb if it is snowing, as residents will be responsible for digging out the tree.

Trees can be brought to Graydon Pool at any time to be disposed.
