Ridgewood Family Hospitalized In Crash With Suspected DWI Driver: Fair Lawn PD
A Ridgewood family — father, mother and two children — were hospitalized after a three-car pile-up on Thanksgiving, police said.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Two young girls and their parents were hospitalized after a head-on collision with an intoxicated driver in Fair Lawn on Thanksgiving, according to police Sgt. Brian Metzler.
Robert Arloro, 23, now faces criminal charges after the three-car pile-up on Maple Avenue that left the little girls, ages 1 and 6, their father, 33, and their mother, 25, injured, officials said.
Arloro was driving his Mazda westbound on Maple Avenue when he crossed the double yellow line and slammed head-on into a Mercury with the family of four inside it, police said.

A Subaru then rear-ended the Mercury, police said.
The family's injuries were not life-threatening and no injuries were reported in the Subaru, police said.

Arloro, of River Vale, was arrested and then taken to the hospital, said police.
The River Vale man was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, delaying traffic, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to inspect, and driving while intoxicated, Metzler said.
