Ridgewood, Glen Rock High Schools Included in Top 100 NJ High Schools

A new study by Niche has named Ridgewood High School one of the Best Public High Schools in New Jersey.

Out of the best 100 schools, Ridgewood High School came in at number 34 for its A grade in academics, A- in health and safety and A+ in teachers. The high school also received an A+ for extracurriculars and activities, an A for sports and fitness, a B+ for resources and facilities and a B- for student culture and diversity.

Glen Rock also made the list, coming in at number 53 for an A in academics, health and safety, teachers, sports and fitness extracurriculars and activities, a B+ in resources and facilities and C+ in student culture and diversity.

Niche compiled the list by ranking 14,431 high schools “based on dozens of key statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents,” according to its website.

A high ranking, the website states, “indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly.”

Other Bergen County schools who made the top 100 include Tenafly High School, Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale, Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, Cresskill High School, Pascack Valley High School is Hillsdale, Northern Valley Regional High School - Demarest, Northern Valley Regional High School - Old Tappan, Hasbrouck Heights High School, Fair Lawn High School, Indian Hills High School in Oakland, River Dell Regional High School in Oradell, Park Ridge High School, Ramsey High School, Paramus High School, Midland Park High School and Mahwah High School.
