RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A Ridgewood High School student's video is a finalist in an annual contest that is designed to help encourage adolescent immunization awareness.

Nicole Kye's 30 second public service announcement encourages people to get a vaccine against human papillomavirus.

Kye created the video and entered it into the Protect Me With 3+ contest. The contest challenges New Jersey middle and high school students to raise awareness about various vaccinations and the diseases they can prevent.

The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey is collaborating with the New Jersey Department of Health to run the contest.

Voting will end Sunday at 11:59 p.m.; to vote, click here. The top three posters and videos in each category will be presented at a ceremony April 28.
