Ridgewood Student's Video Wins 1st Place In Vaccination Contest

Nicole Kye's video encourages people to get the HPV vaccine.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A Ridgewood High School student has won first place in an annual contest designed to help encourage adolescent immunization awareness.

Nicole Kye's 30 second public service announcement encourages people to get a vaccine against the human papillomavirus.

Kye created the announcement for the Protect Me With 3+ contest, which challenges New Jersey middle and high school students to raise awareness about various vaccinations and the disease they can prevent.
