Rony's Rock Burger Shuts the Doors

Glen Rock's burger king just couldn't hold on any longer. On Tuesday, Rony Alvarado announced he'd be closing Rony's Rock Burger.

The former RoCCA chef has trudged forward with a limited customer base and high rent. He told Patch earlier this month he was just hoping to survive 2013.

In a message posted on Facebook, Alvarado said he "can't express in words the gratitude" he felt for his two-plus years in business, calling his clientele "more like family" than customers.

Rony's Rock Burger will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, Alvarado said in his message.
