See Dementia-Friendly Movie Musical At Ridgewood Library: 'Carousel'
When you walk through the storm, hold your head up high. Any adult can register for this sensory-friendly movie series in Ridgewood.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — To some, there's nothing as comforting as a classic movie musical. The Ridgewood Public Library is hosting a movie night series that's particularly outfitted for those who suffer from dementia and for their caregivers or loved ones.
This Wednesday, the library is showing the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical "Carousel," but you must register.
The matinee begins at 12:30 Wednesday.

The showing features lighting for comfort and safety, regulated sound, and attendees are free to clap and sing along.
Volunteers will assist guests and help manage mobility devices.

The announcement says, "Embrace your “staycation” with the magic of musicals! These matinees offer a welcoming, sensory-sensitive environment. Giveaways and free snacks for each guest: Water, KitKat, and Goldfish. Registration opened June 30.
