Severely Burned Ridgewood Boy Admitted To Cornell Burn Unit
Danny Kovac was flown back to the United States after he was severely burned while visiting his grandparents in Europe.

RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A village boy who was severely burned while vacationing in Europe is back in the United States receiving treatment.
Danny Kovac was admitted to the Cornell Weill Burn Center in New York City.
Fifteen-year-old Danny Kovac was visiting his grandparents in Konjic in Bosnia and Herzegovina when he was shocked by a live electrical wire Sunday, Kovac's godfather Haris Sose said on the GoFundMe page set up for him.

More than $67,000 has been donated on the GoFundMe page since it went live Tuesday. The goal is to raise $70,000.

The campaign had been trending and was shared more than 1,200 times on social media.
Kovac "loves to play basketball, ski, swim in his pool, and hang out with his many friends," Sose said. "[He]has the biggest heart and is kind to all those around him."
Friends expressed their sympathies to Kovac and his family on the GoFundMe page.
"I am praying for miraculous healing for your sweet son," Wendy Jorgensen said.
