Shops At Riverside Bloomingdale’s Plans Grand Re-Opening

There will be discounts, frozen treats and the debut of a new pop-up shop.

HACKENSACK, NJ - Bloomingdale's at the Shops at Riverside plans to host a grand re-opening celebration featuring discounts, frozen treats and the debut of a new pop-up shop.

Scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, from noon to 5 p.m., the event to mark the department store's recent renovations will include holiday fun for the entire family, such as photos in a life-size now glob, ice cream and a Godiva hot chocolate bar.

As a special treat, shoppers will be able to receive $25 off every $100 on regular priced merchandise from participating brands that afternoon.

Bloomingdale's will also unveil its new rotating pop-up shop, The Carousel, which features products hand-selected by guest curators and is "an immersive experience with interactive features driven by culturally relevant themes."

The pop-up was first launched in 2018 at four Bloomingdale's stores, two in Manhattan and two in California. At the time, the department store said The Carousel was an engaging way to offer up new products and new brands in order to give shoppers a different experience each visit.

The Shops at Riverside is currently in the midst of the final phase of a multi-million dollar makeover that is slated to be complete by next spring.

Recently announced restaurants, True Food Kitchen and LT Bar & Grill, are slated to open with Ermenegildo Zegna and Max Mara in March 2020.Other recently announced retailer, Boglioli Milano, is now open andPeserico, is slated to open by holiday 2019.

During the first and second phases of the mall's multi-year renovation, renovation, an AMC Dine-In Theatre was added, and The Cheesecake Factory, as well as Barnes & Noble, were relocated and redesigned.

According to Simon, additional dining and shopping options are still to come, along with a concierge lounge and enhanced valet parking.
