Sinkhole Repaired And Roads Reopen In Ridgewood: Police
Ridgewood officials spent Monday repairing a sinkhole that had been spotted Friday in Ridgewood.
RIDGEWOOD, NJ — A sinkhole in Ridgewood was repaired by late Monday and the streets have reopened, police said.
Police had closed part of North Monroe Street on Friday after a resident reported the hole.
It was the second day in two days that a sinkhole closed streets in Bergen County. A road in Ho-Ho-Kus had to be closed the day before.

Ridgewood Village Manager Keith Kazmark said Monday night that he received this information from the town around 5 p.m.: “Sink hole on N. Monroe has been repaired by Streets along with the assistance from Signal Division. Corrugated pipe from our storm water collection system rotted out.”
On Friday, Ridgewood police had closed off the area near North Monroe Street between Wellington Road and Shelbourne Terrace. Then, they placed materials over the hole so drivers could use it for the weekend.
