'Sopranos' Convention Is At The Meadowlands

The two-day event coincides with the 20th anniversary of the HBO series.

SECAUCUS, NJ – For diehard fans of HBO’s iconic series “The Sopranos,” this might be an offer they can’t refuse.

SopranosCon, a two-day convention that promises to be the ultimate fan experience, is coming to the Meadowlands Expo Center on Nov. 23 and 24.

The event, which is being billed as "The Sopranos meets Comic-Con," will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the show.

It will feature games, music, vendors, Italian food, wine, contests, giveaways, raffles, auctions, trivia, autographs, panel discussions and meet-and-greets with some of the cast, according to organizers.

Among the actors scheduled to appear: Dominic Chianese (Corrado "Junior" Soprano), Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts), Vincent Pastore (Big Pussy), Vincent Curatola (Johnny Sack), Federico Castelluccio (Furio), David Proval (Richie Aprile), Ray Abruzzo (Little Carmine), and many more.

Additional cast members are expected to sign on in coming months.

Tickets range from $50 to $800 and are on sale now. Additional details on all ticket options can be found here.

Some of the available packages include:

  • $50: General admission
  • $380: The “Boss” (VIP), which includes general admission, a cast meet-and-greet, Q&A session and red carpet event
  • $600: The “Stugots” package, which includes VIP access for both days, a Satin Dolls trip, official Scores Afterparty in New York City with transportation, a red carpet event and a one-night stay at Embassy Suites.
  • $800: The “Stugots II” package, includes everything in the basic “Stugots” package, but for two people.

During "The Sopranos" run on HBO from 1999 to 2007, the series racked up 18 Emmy Awards. Its prequel film, "The Many Saints of Newark," which takes a look at a young Tony Soprano (played by Michael Gandolfini, son of the late series star James Gandolfini), is due in theaters next year.

If you need a Sopranos fix before November, you can always swing by the Sopranos house in North Caldwell, which hit the market in June for a whopping $3.4 million.
