Sunday: Obscure Sporting Event in Texas Today

1) You may have heard that today there's a sporting event in which a bunch of large men in spandex careen into each other over some sort of pig product. Yep, the Super Bowl (Packers vs Steelers) is at 6:30 p.m. and if you aren't doing a party, head over to or the for the big game. TVs, beer, wings–pretty self explanatory.

Our game prediction? 24-21 Steelers, for a combined score of the number of children Jets CB Antonio Cromartie will have by the time the final whistle blows.

2) A News 12 NJ truck was spotted hanging out at on Saturday in the rain for a couple of hours. Anyone know why?

3) The Ridgewood varsity hockey team tied Tenafly 4-4 on Saturday. The team has one loss and one tie in its last three games; Ridgewood beat Clifton earlier in the week after a humiliating 9-1 loss to Bridgewater-Raritan. Still, the Maroons are 13-2-2 and could make a deep playoff run.

4) The village put out a reminder that all used electronics need to be disposed of properly–this means they don't go in the household trash. So computers, monitors, stereo equipment, etc. should be taken to the recycling center on East Glen.
