Thunderstorms Topple Trees Onto Bergen County Homes, Pull Down Wires: See Photos
The weekend's storms toppled trees onto Bergen County homes and downed wires, officials said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Gusty thunderstorms moved through Bergen County on Saturday afternoon, forcing trees onto houses and pulling down wires, said officials.
In Glen Rock, Police Chief Dean Ackermann confirmed that two heavy tree limbs fell onto houses on Roxbury Place (see photos below).
"We also had another tree limb come down on the 800 block of Prospect Street near Beekman around the same time," he said. "Took down some wires but no damage."

Firefighters andother town workers also responded to the houses. No injuries were reported.
As posted by Patch on Saturday, the National Weather Service predicted isolated storms with the possibility of hail, tornadoes, and flash floods.

Some showers are expected Sunday before 2 p.m., with little rain accumulation.
