EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – If you haven’t visited Nickelodeon Universe theme park at American Dream yet, you may want to make that trip soon.

Come Nov. 15, the cost of admission will go up for general access passes and all-access passes to the newly-opened attraction, which is billed as the largest indoor amusement park in the country.

American Dream partially opened Friday, unveiling Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and an NHL-size ice rink. Other attractions, shopping and dining will follow over the next several months at the $5 billion mall.

According to the mall, the current ticket prices are just a special preview rate. The 8.5-acre park features more than 35 rides and attractions based on Nickelodeon's iconic characters, like Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer.

In two weeks, an all-access pass – which is recommended for people taller than 48 inches who want to go on thrill rides – will go from $49.99 to $79.99, a $30 increase, according to American Dream’s website. General access passes will increase $20, from $39.99 to $59.99. Kids ages 2 and under are admitted for free.

By comparison, a season pass to Six Flags Great Advance for next season is available online for $71.99, which includes parking for the season.

No changes are set to occur to American Dream's parking rate, which starts at $3 for the first three hours and goes up to $24 for eight hours.

The world's first candy department store was scheduled to open Friday, but it has been pushed back.

During the Meadowlands mega-mall's first day open, the IT'SUGAR store was still undergoing construction and remained under wraps. A new date has not been announced.

In the days leading up to the official opening, speculation swirled as to whether that would happen due to the state Department of Community Affairs not yet issuing a permanent certificate of occupancy.

However, Thursday evening, the state confirmed American Dream received a temporary certificate of occupancy, allowing it to open as planned Friday.
