Valley Hospital Co-Founder Dead at 100

Dr. Vincent Giudici, a founding physician at Valley Hospital, died Friday at the age of 100, according to his obituary.

The Record reports Dr. Giudici performed the first surgery at the hospital in 1951 and worked there until 1998. He is pre-deceased by his first wife Mildred, his second wife Emily and children Vincent Guidice Jr. and Vanessa Hampson.

A former Ridgewood resident, the Saddle River centennial wrote a column on health in The Record in the 1980s. His funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Monday.
