VIDEO: What Are You Doing With Your Life?

With the breakneck speed of modern life, a handful of artists set up an outdoor living room to challenge people to take stock of what they have and where they are in this elaborate journey of life.

"We don't contemplate enough," says David Wray in the three minute YouTube video. "We figured if we recreated a living room outdoors, if we made busy people rushing from one appointment to the next, blindly connecting the dots, sit for a moment...what if we asked them to document their time in our living room and challenge them to contemplate the bigger picture?" 

With disposable cameras tied to chairs in the living room sets stationed in downtown Ridgewood at Van Neste Square, participants captured a single moment.

On a table nearby rested a book instructing them in marker to write what they're doing in life.

The responses were a fascinating mix of jubilant and painstakingly sad.
