A woman was injured after being struck by an NJ Transit commuter train Monday night in Waldwick, according to a report.
WALDWICK, NJ – A woman was injured after being struck by an NJ Transit commuter train Monday night in Waldwick, according to a report.
Around 8:30 p.m., a woman was found lying on the tracks near the train station with injuries to her legs and lower body, and she was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, NJ.com reported.
Service was suspended on the Main-Bergen and Port Jervis Line while authorities investigated the incident and trains resumed later that night with residual delays, according to updates from NJ Transit.

Main & Bergen Line and Port Jervis Line trains are holding until further notice. We have received a report that a person was struck by a train near Waldwick, and the area is now in the hands of first responders and investigators.
