Woman Sues Bergen Country Club After Her $30k Bag Damaged: Report
During a Sept. 2017 meal, a waiter allegedly spilled red wine all over a woman's Hermès handbag.
DEMAREST, NJ – A Bergen County woman filed a lawsuit against a country club for $30,000, the value of a Hermès handbag she says was damaged when a waiter spilled red wine all over it, according to a report.
In the lawsuit, Maryana Beyder says she was having a meal at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest back in September 2017 when a server allegedly stained her light pink bag, NJ.com reported.
Beyder tried for nearly a year to sort out the matter with the club directly, but they were dismissive and eventually unresponsive, prompting her to pursue legal action, the report said.
