Answering the Final Fire Call

Richard S. Sperry, 85, of Little Egg Harbor, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin.

He was born in Jersey City, residing in Oradell, and Brick, prior to moving to Little Egg Harbor, in 1993. He had been employed as a service tech by N.J. Natural Gas Co., Wall Twp.

He was a N.J. State Exempt Fireman. He was a member of ., Breton Woods Fire Dept., Bricktown, Little Egg Harbor Geneology Club, Board of Trustees for Monarch Credit Union, and N.J. Natural Gas Lamp Lighters. 

He was predeceased by his son Richard Jr. He is survived by his wife Blanche, daughter Susan E. Hunt, Manahawkin, N.J., two grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren.
