BC Players Member and Catholic War Vet

James W. Kearns, passed away at the Neighbor hood Hospice Center in West Chester, Pa., at the age of 88.

Before moving to West Chester, PA, James was a resident of Dumont for 60 years, and a proud Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Prior to his retirement in 1989, James was a Production Engineer for the Dept. of Energy in NY, NY. 

James was a member of the Bergen County Players and the Catholic War Veterans, and was also a devout parishioner of St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Dumont where he served as an usher and lector.

Predeceased by his wife Margaret (nee Frederickson) in 1989 and a sister Theresa Driscoll. Surviving is a loving son Robert E. Kearns and his wife Sherrill, and three grandchildren Kelliann Bailor, Stephanie Christine Kearns, and Brian Patrick Kearns, and a brother Edward Kearns. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James’ memory to the American Diabetes Assoc., 1160 Rte. 22 East, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
