Nurse and Longtime Resident

Marjorie Ruttan (nee Marge), 92 of River Edge, a retired nurse and longtime resident of Bergen County, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.

Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Morristown, New Jersey. Marge was a war emergency radio service operator during WWII. She was a registered nurse at Bellevue Hospital, New York during the 30’s and 40’s and as a nurse for a physician in private practice until 1983. 

Marge enjoyed ballet, loved horses and was an active member in the Palomino Horse Breeders of America. She sang in the West Side Presbyterian Church Lakeside Choraliers throughout the 70’s and 80’s. 

Beloved Godmother of Linda Schmidt, Spring Valley, New York, friend, and family member of Alice and Robert Michel of Glen Rock.
