River Dell Secretary

Geraldine K. Wartenberg,79, of North Truro, Mass., formerly of Oradell, died on November 10, 2011.

Prior to her retirement, Geraldine spent many years as a secretary with the River Dell School System. Upon retiring to Massachusetts, Geraldine became active with the Truro Council on Aging Needlework Programs. She also volunteered at the Highland Lighthouse Museum, and helped to raise funds for the relocation and restoration of the lighthouse.

Beloved wife of Barry Wartenberg. Devoted mother of Keith Wartenberg, Jeff Wartenberg and Gary Wartenberg. Geraldine was preceded in death by her loving daughter Kim Ledgerwood. Loving grandmother of Eric and Thomas Ledgerwood and Alanna, Kyle, Alexander, Curtis and Jeremy Wartenberg.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in her name to the Dana Farber Cancer Research Fund, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115 or to the Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, P.O. Box 640, 27 Park Street, Hyannis, MA 02601.
