
St. Margaret Mary’s R.C. Church, Midland Beach, was the setting Sept. 10 for the marriage of New Springville residents Laurie Aloi and Scott Griffin. The Rev. Erno Diaz officiated at the afternoon ceremony, which was followed by a reception in The Forge, Woodbridge, N.J.
The bride is the daughter of Eleanor Ciccone of Morganville, N.J., and Joseph Aloi of Rivervale, N.J. The bridegroom is the son of the late Diana Griffin and the late Robert Griffin.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Jean Garrigan, as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Lisa Hayes, Diana Rizza, Amanda Tursi, Jennifer Hickey and Dawn Kelly. The junior bridesmaid was Jenna Hayes, and the flower girls were Adrianna Aloi and Kaylys Aloi.
Michael Farnolo was the best man. The ushers were David Branen, Joseph Aloi, Christian Aloi, Brian Moore, Paul Cosentino, Joseph Cavaretta and Frank Riedlinger. The junior usher was Robert Rizza, and the ringbearer was Justin Hayes.
Mrs. Griffin is a graduate of River Dell Regional High School, River Edge, N.J., and received an associate’s degree in business from Drake Business School, Manhattan. She is an office manager with Arnica Heating and Air Conditioning, Stapleton.
Mr. Griffin is an alumnus of New Dorp High School and the recipient of a general equivalency diploma. He studied criminal justice at Gibbs College, Livingston, N.J., and is employed by the city Department of Education with school food at Totten Intermediate School, Tottenville, and is a painter with Joe Harris Painting, Grant City.
After a honeymoon trip to Pennsylvania, the newlyweds now live in New Springville.
