The "Rose" of River Edge

Mary Rosaleen 'Rose' McCarthy (nee O’Dwyer), age 90 of River Edge died recently.

Rose was born in Pallas Green Co. Limerick Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah Francis ' Frank ' McCarthy whom she met in London, England during WWII.

Rose was a long time Parishioner of St. Peter The Apostle RC Church ,and an active member of their Rosary Society. She also served for many years on the River Edge Vol. Ambulance Corps. 

Cherished mother of Patricia Mc-Carthy of Boston, Eileen Mott of Richmond VA, and Brendan McCarthy and his wife Cynthia. Adored grandmother of Ericka and her husband Gerhard Bartsch, Ian Breslin and his wife Kristine, Jessica Mott-Dovaston and her husband Luke, Colin Mott and his wife Blair, and Dylan Mott,. Rose was also a proud greatgrandmother of Max, Daniel, Dylan, Hadley, Christopher, and Aidan.
