A quick weekend recap of the Hawks and Crusaders exploits

Preparing for their State Tournament run, the Golden Hawks baseball team shut out Leonia 11-1 on Saturday in five innings. A six inning first inning gave the Hawks the lead they needed as Dylan Smith kept the Lions off balance. Smith also contributed four RBI's and a double. Dave Crouch and Glen DeMarrais blasted a double as well.

Golden Hawks Boys Lacrosse struggled in their final home game falling 14-2 to the Fair Lawn Cutters. Shut out for the first three periods, Mike Neville and Kevin Barry connected on a pair of goals to eliminate a complete shut out. Ben Sagerman made 10 saves in goal.

The Lady Hawks Girls Lacrosse took to the field in their final home match and knocked off Scotch Plains-Fanwood in a 13-7 victory. The Lady Hawks came out strong from the first whistle with a 7-2 lead by half time and then continued to dominate the field. Emily Wong had four goals followed by Nadia Bousada's hat trick and Julia Boccanfuso's pair. Tori Schettino, Emily Lawler, Same Kay and Emily Dominguez each had one goal a piece.
